"If you have heart, you have hope. And you... have heart in you." Neon has debuted the wonderful official trailer for The Life of Chuck, the beloved new film from master filmmaker Mike Flanagan. Set to open this June. This was a big at last year's Toronto Film Festival, where it won the prestigious People's Choice at the end of the fest. Via TIFF: "With The Life of Chuck, Mike Flanagan takes a detour from the macabre to explore one of Stephen King's alternate sensibilities in an adaptation that carries the spirit of his most optimistic work. The world feels like it’s ending and everybody’s saying goodbye to Chuck." A life-affirming, genre-bending story adapted from Stephen King's novella about three chapters in the life of a man named Charles Krantz. The main ensemble cast has Chiwetel Ejiofor & Tom Hiddleston, with Karen Gillan, Annalise Basso, Benjamin Pajak, Mia Sara, Matthew Lillard, Carl Lumbly, Samantha Sloyan, Harvey Guillén, Jacob Tremblay, Kate Siegel, and Mark Hamill. This looks absolutely phenomenal! I love it already! Got a good feeling this will end up on my Best of the Year list at the end of 2025.
