Finesse2Tymes has the internet asking questions after he went off on Instagram accusing Moneybagg Yo of allegedly calling the cops on him. His posts came after he and his girlfriend Shugga were reportedly arrested in Dallas, Texas on Thursday, January 15.
Okay, so BOOM! Early on Thursday, Complex reported that Finesse2Tymes was arrested on multiple drug charges in Texas. The 33-year-old rapper reportedly faced charges of possession of marijuana, a prohibited item in a correctional facility, and possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 2. Police records also show his girlfriend Shugga, whose real name is Halle Buckingham, was also arrested. However, her booking was date on January 14. She also faced drug charges plus allegedly tampering and fabricating physical evidence.
Finesse has since been released from jail, but Shugga is reportedly still being held on a $526,000 bond. Hours after his release, Finesse jumped on Instagram to address his arrest and call out Moneybagg Yo. As of right now, there’s no word on why he dragged Bagg into things, but he basically blamed him for making him end up in handcuffs. “Bagg put the police on me,” Finesse wrote. From there, he dropped another message, calling folks haters and saying they just want to see him behind bars. “Yall be wanting me to stay in so bad. I don’t carry nun […] yaw n****s some real haters.” Finesse kept dropping more messages on his IG Story, claiming he’s got dirt on Moneybagg and telling his followers he’s missing Shugga real bad. “I ain’t gone lie, I’m sick w out u Shug. On god don’t nobody know like her.”
As of now, Moneybagg Yo hasn’t addressed Finesse’s claims. But Finesse2Tymes and his girlfriend Shugga aren’t strangers to the law. They were both previously arrested in September 2025 for alleged drug possession. According to Complex, the couple ended up making bail shortly after. However, a month later Finesse was arrested again on similar charges.
After The Shade Room reposted screenshots of Finesse’s messages, the comment section blew up. A bunch of folks kept asking why he keeps dragging Bagg into his situations, meanwhile others told him to focus on getting Shugga out.
