Taylor Santiago, a Missouri woman, has been arrested after allegedly targeting the fathers of her children in a multi-state shooting spree.
More Details On The Alleged Multi-State Shooting Spree Initiated By Taylor Santiago Against Her Exes & Fathers Of Her Children
According to KY3, on January 22, Santiago allegedly shot and killed her ex-husband, Troy Huffman, at her apartment complex in Missouri. To note, Santiago and Huffman reportedly share a son who was present amid the shooting. However, the child is reportedly safe and uninjured.
Per the outlet, Santiago then drove to Arkansas, where she shot the father of another one of her kids. Amid the incident, the Missouri woman reportedly shot and injured the man’s girlfriend. Furthermore, the outlet reports that the man was left with critical injuries. However, the woman passed away. Per KOLR, she has since been identified as Sophia Williams.
Furthermore, Law & Crime reports that Santiago’s daughter was reportedly present during the incident. However, she was left unharmed.
More Details On The Missouri Woman & Charges
Subsequently, Santiago reportedly returned to Aurora to turn herself in to police.
“At approximately 1:45 a.m., Taylor Santiago arrived at the Aurora Police and Fire Facility and called from the parking lot, reporting that she had just murdered her estranged husband, Troy Huffman, at her residence. Officers immediately took Ms. Santiago into custody and responded to her apartment, where they located a deceased male identified as Troy Huffman,” a press release from police reportedly asserts, per Law & Crime.
Per the outlet, Aurora Police Chief Wes Coatney believes the incident stemmed from “custody issues” between Santiago and the fathers of her kids.
Additionally, Santiago has reportedly been charged with “first-degree murder, first-degree robbery, unlawful use of a weapon, and endangering the welfare of a child.”
KY3 reports that the mother is currently being held without bond.
A Florida Mother Lost Her Life To An Estranged Partner Last Year
As The Shade Room previously reported, in December 2024, a Florida mother named Kristen Stevens was killed after allegedly being stabbed by her estranged boyfriend “up to 70 times.” Stevens had reportedly been sleeping at the time of the incident.
Additionally, James Christopher Lindsey, Steven’s estranged boyfriend, fled the scene and got into a fatal car crash before he could be apprehended.
