"Ain't nothing more powerful than love." 🎸 Whoa! Searchlight Pictures has unveiled the first official trailer for a movie called
O'Dessa, the second feature film created by Geremy Jasper following
Patti Cake$ which opened in 2017.
O'Dessa is premiering at the 2025 SXSW Film Festival in March, then will be streaming on Hulu right away a week after its debut. Very strange - this should be playing in theaters everywhere! Set in a vivid, dystopian post-apocalyptic future, O’Dessa is an original rock opera about a farm girl on an epic quest to recover a cherished family heirloom. Her journey leads her to a strange and dangerous city where she meets her one true love – but in order to save his soul, she must put the power of destiny
and song to the ultimate test. This sounds like a
Bill & Ted spin-off about saving the world with rock music. Starring
Sadie Sink,
Kelvin Harrison Jr.,
Regina Hall,
Murray Bartlett. Dang this looks cool! Epic post-apocalyptic style, psychedelic rock everywhere, major revolutionary vibes, and 16 original songs! Hell yes, let's rock. 🤘 //
