The internet isn’t the only one who remembers Mo’Nique‘s warning to Shannon Sharpe about his dating preferences — Mo herself remembers it too. Recently, during a “Heaven On Earth” tour stop, Mo’Nique recalled her now-viral, and fated, warning to Sharpe.
On Sunday, May 4, footage surfaced on X, formerly known as Twitter, of Mo’Nique appearing onstage at Katt Williams’ recent “Heaven On Earth” tour stop, reportedly in South Carolina. In the brief clip, Mo’Nique tells a lively crowd, “… Damnit! Yes, I told that n***a Shannon Sharpe leave them white [inaudible] alone!”

To note, this isn’t the first time Mo has referenced her now-viral warning to Sharpe. In April, the comedian took to Instagram to share an animated clip of her strong warning to the host.
“HEY MY SWEET BABIES!!!
THIS HAD ME HOLLERING!!!
THE INTERNET IS UNDEFEATED!!!!
I LOVE US 4REAL🥰🥰🥰🥰,” she wrote in the caption of the clip.
As The Shade Room previously reported, Mo’Nique and Shannon Sharpe sat down for a lengthy conversation on his ‘Club Shay Shay’ podcast, which aired via YouTube in February 2024. During this sitdown, the pair touched on dating, and Mo specifically told Sharpe to give up dating younger women and get him an “old fat gal.”
“Let me tell y’all what Shannon need, okay? Let me tell y’all what my baby need. He need him an old fat gal who could bake good cakes, make some smothered turkey wings, who gone rub his feet at the night time, okay?… You don’t need no 26-year-old girl. You don’t need no 36 year-old girl. This is your auntie talkin’ to you,” she told him in part at the time.
Additionally, the clip of Mo’Nique and Shannon Sharpe resurfaced and went viral in April. At the time, Sharpe was hit with a $50 million lawsuit accusing him of sexual assault and battery in part. Furthermore, the lawsuit originated from a woman now known as Gabriella Zuniga, who alleged she and Sharpe were in a two-year “rocky” relationship.
After news of her filing became public, NSFW messages allegedly shared between Zuniga and Sharpe were released to the public, in addition to alleged audio of him threatening to choke her. But that wasn’t all, alleged texts were released of Zuniga apparently confronting Sharpe for allegedly raping her. At the time, multiple celebrities — from Stephen A. Smith to Dr. Umar — weighed in on the allegations. Ultimately, Sharpe revealed his status with ESPN amid the allegations as another woman came forward to publicly detail allegedly being assaulted by Sharpe, per The Shade Room.
