Chile! The White House is getting a lil’ loose with its social media posts, and Americans are sounding off about it! Most recently, it shared a magazine cover featuring a ‘King Donald Trump’ image. Though the cover mirrors TIME Magazine’s usual style, it appears to be AI-generated.
Over 53,000 comments later, the post is still sitting on the White House’s IG feed. The NYC mayor also shared spicy words for the Trump administration as the post follows the president’s order to end the city’s congestion pricing program.
It’s unclear who exactly shared the post on the White House’s Instagram feed. However, the caption read: “CONGESTION PRICING IS DEAD. Manhattan, and all of New York, is SAVED. LONG LIVE THE KING!” –President Donald J. Trump”
Meanwhile, the image looked like an oil painting and featured President Donald smiling with a gold crown on his head. The cover had “TRUMP” as a headline and “Long Live The King.”
White House Deputy Chief of Staff and Cabinet Secretary Taylor Budowich encouraged the ‘King Trump’ narrative on X. She reposted the same caption with a different photo of Trump in royal clothing and a crown.

@realruebenwood added, “George Washington chose not to be king so Trump could? Yall racking them L’s this a different generation you all will soon come to see the facade and propaganda will only take you so far.”
“Can you IMAGINE if Biden or Obama posted photos of themselves in a king crowns from official accounts?! Articles of impeachment for treason would be IMMEDIATE and they’d yap about this on Fox for YEARS. This is not funny at all and should be extremely alarming to everyone regardless of political affiliation,” @_michelle.Christine_ wrote.
@nigelhuckle chimed in, writing, “Hey, so this is treason.”
@autumn_gruber said, “Didn’t we fight an entire revolution against this sort of thing???”
“The founding fathers are rolling in their graves. This is disgusting,” @aprilajoy added.

Kathy Hochul didn’t hold back while addressing the ‘King Donald Trump’ image and slashing the congestion pricing program. She shared a statement on Wednesday after the fake magazine cover went viral. Hochul shared that New Yorkers, “like President Trump,” know how essential public transportation is to New York City.
“Since this first-in-the-nation program took effect last month, congestion has dropped drastically, and commuters are getting to work faster than ever. Broadway shows are selling out, and foot traffic to local businesses is spiking. School buses are getting kids to class on time, and yellow cab trips increased by 10 percent. Transit ridership is up, drivers are having a better experience, and support for this program is growing every day.”
Additionally, she warned the Trump administration that the war on her policy is not yet won. “We are a nation of laws, not ruled by a king. The MTA has initiated legal proceedings in the Southern District of New York to preserve this critical program. We’ll see you in court,” the statement said.

This new-age trolling from the commander-in-chief’s home account has recently become a norm. Only one month in, and President Donald Trump’s White House has repeatedly gone viral for tone-deaf social media posts. From this new ‘King Trump’ controversy to teasing strict immigration policies on Valentine’s Day, it seems the WH is taking cues from the president’s Truth Social energy!
