Roomies, if you’ve been keeping up, you’ve probably noticed that The White House has been posting some wild, outta pocket stuff on social media ever since Donald Trump became president. Well, it looks like their latest post might’ve crossed the line as the Catholic Conference of New York issued a statement aimed at Trump.
For context, The White House dropped not one, but two controversial posts on Instagram. One photo, which Donald Trump also posted on Truth Social sees him dressed like a pop. The AI-generated image set social media off as the world continues to mourn Pope Francis’ death, who passed away on April 21.
The image caught the attention of the Catholic Conference of New York State, who shared a statement on X (formerly Twitter), calling out Donald Trump for disrespecting and mocking the pope.
“There is nothing clever or funny about this image, Mr. President. We just buried our beloved Pope Francis and the cardinals are about to enter a solemn conclave to elect a new successor of St. Peter. Do not mock us,” the Catholic Conference wrote.
Another post shared on The White House’s Instagram page featured a photo of Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia, an El Salvadorian citizen living in Maryland with a legal working permit. A U.S. immigration judge had granted him protection from deportation, but the Trump Administration still decided to deport him, labeling him as part of the MS-13 gang. Instead of fighting for Kilmar’s release, Trump and The White House decided to turn him into a meme.
A photo, which seemingly resembles one from Barack Obama’s first presidential campaign, has the word “MS-13” stamped across it. Additionally, a small text appears that reads, “KILMAR ABREGO GARCIA: NOT A “MARYLAND DAD.”

Chileeee! The White House has been wildin’ on social media for a minute now. Recently, their official Instagram page even mocked DEI and immigration. They threw shade at diversity, equity, and inclusion while seemingly celebrating deportations.
The post first appeared on X, then popped up on their IG page with the words, “Deport Every Illegal.” They seemed to stand ten toes down behind their words adding a simple, “Yup” in their caption.
