While the timeline finds ways to keep NBA YoungBoy’s name in the mix, he continues making history once again. Just last week, he celebrated becoming the most RIAA-certified rapper of all time. Now, following his latest Billboard chart placement, he can add another major accomplishment to his belt.
On Monday, Billboard 200 released its Top 10 album chart. NBA YoungBoy’s ‘Slime Cry’ debuted at No. 6, earning his 17th Top 10 album. According to chart data, this marks the fastest accumulation of 17 Top 10 albums in rap history.
‘Slime Cry’ sold 70,000 total units, driven by 72.6 million on-demand streams and 1,000 pure sales. With this milestone, NBA YoungBoy now ties Drake for the second most Top 10 albums among rappers in U.S. history, behind Future, who leads with 18.
Social media users gathered under The Shade Room Teens, celebrating NBA YoungBoy’s latest Top 10 album. Some compared him to rap peers, while ride-or-die fans defended him. Fans praised ‘Slime Cry’ as no-skip, saying other rappers can’t compete.

NBA YoungBoy opened up about the meaning behind his previous ‘Make America Slime Again’ album title during a recent interview with Complex. He revealed that it means to “follow whatever Trump applying… in every way… enforce whatever Trump’s applying.” During the interview, he also broke down the inspiration behind the project.
If you recall, in May 2025, the Louisiana rapper who was previously sentenced to just under two years in prison on gun-related charges was pardoned by President Donald Trump.
During the interview, NBA YoungBoy also shared his thoughts on 21 Savage’s recent “F**k the Streets” movement. He said he comes from the streets and is the streets, but still supports stopping the violence.
