"This ship collected five different life-forms from the darkest corners of the universe... Each one a unique, deadly species." FX has revealed two more promo spots for
Alien Day celebrating their upcoming series
Alien: Earth. Everyone knows that April 26th (4/26) is
Alien Day, in honor of the planet
LV-426 from the original 1979 movie. When a mysterious space vessel crash-lands, a young woman (
Sydney Chandler) and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet's greatest threat. This is set in
2120 when "five corporations - Prodigy, Weyland-Yutani, Lynch, Dynamic and Threshold - wield the power of nations, and proprietary advancements in technology provide the promise of a new tomorrow." Uh oh. Created & directed by Noah Hawley. The cast includes
Alex Lawther,
Timothy Olyphant,
Essie Davis,
Samuel Blenkin,
Babou Ceesay,
David Rysdahl,
Adrian Edmondson,
Adarsh Gourav,
Moe Bar-El & others. The first teaser talks about the alien species being brought back, and the second (disgusting) teaser is a 3-minute long VFX video showing a xenomorph forming in gestation. So gross. Hoping they'll announce the final release date for this soon - most likely at the end of the summer. //
