"I've never had a friend before..." "Me neither!" Pixar has unveiled their full official trailer for the "cosmic misadventure" sci-fi movie
Elio, finally arriving in theaters worldwide
this June. We posted the
first teaser back in 2023, and it was supposed to hit theaters in March 2024, now ready for release a whole year later. A space fanatic with an active imagination & huge alien obsession, Elio's all in for an epic undertaking when he's beamed up to the Communiverse, an interplanetary organization with representatives from galaxies far & wide. When Elio is mistakenly identified as Earth's leader, he must form new bonds with eccentric alien lifeforms, navigate a crisis of intergalactic proportions, and somehow also discover who and where he is truly meant to be. It's now being co-directed by three filmmakers:
Madeline Sharafian (
Burrow),
Domee Shi (
Turning Red),
Adrian Molina (
Coco). With voices of
Yonas Kibreab as Elio,
Zoe Saldaña as Aunt Olga,
Remy Edgerly as Glordon,
Brad Garrett as Lord Grigon,
Jameela Jamil as Ambassador Questa, and
Shirley Henderson as OOOOO. It looks like they updated it in the delay by developing this friendship story more, with Glordon being his new cosmic pal. I've got a feeling this will be fantastic! Enjoy. //
