Michele Bundy Evans, one of Shannon Sharpe’s past accusers, is stepping into the limelight to tell her story. Michele filed a lawsuit against Sharpe in 2023, accusing him of defaming her for previously saying he forced himself on her. Now, she’s breaking down her allegations in a new on-camera interview.
As mentioned, Michele Bundy Evans recently spilled details about her alleged time with Shannon Sharpe in a new interview with The Sun. She admitted she dated him while still locked in with her husband, and even claimed Shannon asked her to leave her partner. Michele said she couldn’t remember if she went through with the breakup. However, she admitted feeling a way after finding out Shannon had moved another woman into his house without telling her.
Additionally, Evans called him out for never being “faithful” and made it clear she had no plans to stay loyal to him either. She also brought up one of their biggest blowups, saying they allegedly got into an explosive argument in person.
“I wasn’t going to be faithful to a non-faithful person, it just doesn’t work that way. Not for me anyway,” Evans said.
Michele Bundy Evans didn’t stop there. She opened up about Shannon’s alleged behavior towards her. Michele claimed he was controlling and allegedly even put his hands on her a few times, before allegedly escalated to rape. “He was controlling…domineering…manhandling me, beforehand.” Evans also alluded that Sharpe wanted to be intimate with her, but she shut him down.
“I told him no, because you gave it to somebody else. I didn’t only tell him no, I told him why and he wouldn’t take no for an answer, so he overpowered me,” Michele said.
Also, Michele Bundy Evans broke down why she didn’t go to the police while dealing with the alleged abuse from Shannon Sharpe. She said she feared for her life and felt uneasy about reporting him since he knew many people, especially in law enforcement. That said, she didn’t trust that she would be safe.
Michele Bundy Evans’ 2023 lawsuit against Shannon Sharpe outlined a decade-long relationship. According to the filing, their ties ended in the alleged assault. Claims of sexual misconduct were included, along with accusations of defamation, libel, and slander. Those allegations were tied to what was described as Sharpe’s public response following the initial assault claims. Additionally, statements believed to have damaged her reputation were reportedly made by him. While legal proceedings remain ongoing, a restraining order previously filed against Sharpe was withdrawn by Michele, allegedly due to safety concerns.
A rep for Shannon Sharpe recently responded to Michele Bundy Evans’ defamation lawsuit allegations in a statement to Page Six. The rep said Sharpe and Michele “haven’t had any contact for years.” They also called her allegations “ridiculous and completely without merit.” The rep pointed out that Michele is representing herself and referenced her alleged probation record after serving a three-year prison sentence.
