"This is making you uncomfortable, isn't it?" Oscilloscope Labs has revealed the full trailer for an awkward indie comedy film titled
The Travel Companion, arriving to watch in theaters this summer. This first premiered at the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival last year, and it also played at the Heartland, Sidewalk, New Hampshire Film Festivals. Simon, a struggling NYC documentary filmmaker, enjoys free flights courtesy of his best friend and roommate, Bruce, who works for an airline. However, when Beatrice, another successful filmmaker, enters the picture and starts dating his friend Bruce, Simon risks flying too close to the sun. A very meta filmmaking tale of friendship and jealous. He desperately tries to preserve his travel privileges, but where will it lead him? Can Simon keep both the benefits & friendship intact? Nah. Starring
Tristan Turner,
Anthony Oberbeck,
Naomi Asa. The film has mostly positive reviews so far, saying it's "one of the most observant movies about friendship." It does look pretty good - even if it is super awkward to watch. //
