Chile, stop the presses — Omarion is out here giving fans some TBT energy that they did not see coming, and it involves none other than Solange Knowles. In a recent interview, the ‘Touch’ singer opened up about a little-known chapter of his dating life, and let’s just say, this one had the TL raising their eyebrows — and maybe clutching their pearls — all at once.
During a recent sit-down with comedian Funny Marco for his ‘Open Thoughts’ podcast, Omarion, joined by his B2K crew Lil Fizz, Raz B, and J Boog, reminisced about past flings. That’s when Omarion revealed that he and Solange Knowles actually got together after B2K’s first overseas tour with Destiny’s Child many years ago.
“Destiny’s Child invited us [B2K] to our first overseas tour. And me and Solange, we ended up being boyfriend and girlfriend for that little short period of that tour,” he shared, giving fans a peek into the surprisingly sweet romance.”
Omarion didn’t hold back on the details, sharing that he “missed” Solange but acknowledged that “life happened,” and they simply weren’t on the same path anymore. He also recalled being gifted “rocks” by Solange — probably some crystals — and described her as “deep” even back then. And for anyone wondering if Solange felt the same, she gave fans a subtle nod in a 2015 Instagram post: a #ThrowbackThursday pic of the two at a birthday party with Beyoncé and the rest of the crew, where she admitted they were “lil teenage boo’s” but had to hide it because B2K fans might have tried to “cut her, lol.”
Oh, and for those who’ve been paying attention, maybe this shouldn’t be that shocking — Omarion even cast Solange as his love interest in his 2009 ‘Ice Box’ music video. Who would’ve thought that hidden romance would finally come spilling out all these years later?
