Earlier this week, Austin took to Instagram to share photos of her apparent makeup application performed by an unnamed artist.

Subsequently, Austin’s carousel was re-shared by The Shade Room and garnered over 7,000 comments to date.

Subsequently, Austin’s photos, or the chatter that it sparked, appeared to make its way to GloRilla’s algorithms. On Sunday, March 23, she took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to clap back at those comparing her looks to the “ugly makeup girl.”
“I’m looking thru dem quotes of dat ugly makeup girl & everybody dat say it look like me im in yall ngga dm right now,” she wrote.
