Saweetie is stepping into the world of high-stakes gambling and psychological warfare with her latest acting move.
The rapper is joining Netflix’s “Bet” for Season 2, which kicks off production in Toronto alongside series lead Miku Martineau.
The show follows elite boarding school students, where underground gambling determines who runs the place and who gets left behind.

Saweetie explained her draw to the project, saying, “There’s a psychological edge to the world of Bet that immediately brought me in and the character instantly called to me. The fact it’s rooted in manga, this Japanese storytelling tradition that’s been shaping street culture and fashion for years, is what sealed it. Bet, like me, doesn’t play it safe.”
The first season spent three weeks in Netflix’s English-language top ten and hit the top ten in 77 countries, so the platform’s clearly betting big on this one.
According to Deadline, Saweetie’s character details haven’t been revealed yet, but her presence signals the show is expanding its roster with serious talent.
This marks her biggest acting role since she played Keeya on Starz’s “BMF” Season 3, where she brought intensity to a former college athlete caught up in the streets of St. Louis.
She’s also hosted Netflix’s “Sex: Unzipped” comedy special back in 2021, but this dramatic role shows she’s ready to flex different muscles.
