He has created many shorts & other projects, but this is his first feature and it's gorgeous. Opening in theaters in late April. A young girl who lives on a mysterious island heads off on her own into the wilderness when she befriends a little creature known as an Ochi. Similar to a monkey, but not like anything that really exists. This premiered at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival a few months back. Starring Helena Zengel (from System Crasher & News of the World), plus Finn Wolfhard, Emily Watson, & Willem Dafoe. It was originally filmed in 2021 and took three years to complete. Some scenes of the film have been shot in Transylvania, in the Apuseni Mountains, at the Bâlea Lake.
