According to ABC30 News, the Fresno Police Department reportedly received a call about a shooting around 8:15 p.m. on Thursday, November 27. When they arrived on the scene, they reportedly found a 40-year-old victim in his car. At this time, he has not been publicly identified.
Furthermore, cops learned that the 40-year-old was doing his job as an Uber driver. This, when he picked up a passenger, and “an altercation happened.” KMPH reports that the shooting was allegedly prompted by the driver asking the passenger to exit his vehicle. After the suspect got out, police believe he reportedly fired three rounds into the car.

According to the outlet, the 40-year-old victim was subsequently hospitalized in critical condition. Despite this, ABC30 News also noted that he was able to communicate with the authorities about the incident.
At this time, police reportedly believe the incident was isolated. Additionally, they are searching for the suspect responsible. Newsweek adds that as of Friday, November 28, the victim is expected to survive.
