Trigga-Trey Songz recently switched up his look, and some social media users are feeling nostalgic for one of his former music eras. Others aren’t impressed.
Earlier this week, Songz took to his Instagram Story to share an apparent photo of himself, apparently from one of his recent performances over the Valentine’s Day weekend. To note, on January 16, Songz shared a post alerting fans that he was hopping on stage in St. Louis, Missouri, Southaven, Mississippi, and Nashville, Tennessee.
Furthermore, Songz specifically shared a photo of himself smiling at the crowd while touching his apparently freshly-shaved bald head.

Since then, Songz has poked fun at his switched-up look, re-sharing a meme about being bald via his Instagram Story. Peep the meme by clicking here.
Social media users reacted to Trey Songz’ switch-up in TSR’s comment section. Many felt Songz’ bald head took them straight back to his 2012 ‘Chapter V’ album era.
Instagram user @zevarra_ceo wrote, “He did a T.I….. It was about time. Elevated”
Before Trey Songz switched up his look, he landed in handcuffs in New York City. As The Shade Room previously reported, in December, Songz allegedly punched a nightclub worker in the face. Then, a few weeks later, he was reportedly escorted out of a restaurant and lounge for allegedly damaging “$1,500 worth of restaurant property, including hookahs, DJ equipment, and sofas.”
Subsequently, Songz was charged with “five misdemeanor assault and harassment counts” for the first incident. Additionally, he was charged with a felony “mischief in the second degree” for the second incident. Furthermore, Songz pleaded not guilty to the charges while the worker in the first incident reportedly received an order of protection against him.
“Last night, Trey was confronted by individuals who instigated a confrontation and attempted to surround him. His security intervened to protect him and contain the situation, and an altercation occurred in the ensuing confusion. Public figures are often treated as targets for instigation in pursuit of headlines or financial gain. Trey is cooperating fully in both matters, and we are confident the full context and facts will come to light,” Mitchell Schuster, his attorney, explained about the second incident.
