Abramorama has unveiled an official trailer for a documentary film called Space Cowboy, arriving to watch in theaters starting in February then on VOD. This originally premiered back in 2024 at the Toronto Film Festival and it has been waiting to get released until now. A thrilling film directed by Bryce Leavitt and Marah Strauch - she also directed the skydiving doc Sunshine Superman years ago (and I interviewed her about it). The film profiles Joe Jennings, a pioneer of skydiving cinematography, who looks back on creating iconic moments in film & TV, while he tries to turn a dreamlike vision into reality. The film delves into Joe's extraordinary 40-year career in the sky. Through stunning archival footage, revealing interviews, dramatic verité, they uncover a deeper emotional journey as Joe navigates loss, depression, and the challenge of balancing a life in the sky with all of the realities on the ground. He's also the visionary madman behind the famous "flying car" stunt to promote their company.
