Lionsgate has unveiled the teaser trailer for an action thriller called Beast, made by Australian filmmaker Tyler Atkins. Yet another MMA movie with the exact same must-fight-and-win plot as literally every other MMA movie before. A fisherman who once fought for a living agrees to a final return in an MMA shodown after his brothers is put in danger — forcing him to confront whether violence can ever set a family free. Pushed to his breaking point, the contender's stakes are simple: win, or lose everything he's built. Of course! It's always this! The screenplay is actually co-written by Russell Crowe. Beast stars Daniel MacPherson, Luke Hemsworth, Bren Foster, Amy Shark, Mojean Aria, Kelly Gale, and Russell Crowe as his trainer. Out in theaters this April.
