As previously reported, Lil Poppa—born Janarious Mykel Wheeler—was confirmed deceased by the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office on Wednesday, February 18, reportedly pronounced dead at 11:23 a.m. The cause of his passing has not yet been publicly disclosed. Lil Poppa, 25, was signed to Yo Gotti’s Collective Music Group (CMG) and had been active in the music scene, dropping a full album in August 2025 and just last week releasing a music video for his latest single, ‘Out Of Town Bae.’
