Turn it up to infinity! They boys are back! The return of rock 'n roll legends! On the 40th anniversary of the original, the sequel to the legendary rock mockumentary will hit theaters. Bleecker Street has confirmed that they will be releasing the long-awaited, highly anticipated rock doc sequel Spinal Tap II. The entire cast rock band is back for more mayhem, as they reunite after a 15-year hiatus for one final concert. Spinal Tap II: The End Continues is once again directed by Rob Reiner, with Christopher Guest, Michael McKean, and Harry Shearer reprising their iconic roles as the legendary heavy metal band Spinal Tap. Reiner returns as documentarian Martin "Marty" DiBergi, with cameos from music legends Elton John, Paul McCartney, as well as Garth Brooks & Trisha Yearwood. Also appearing will be Paul Shaffer, Fran Drescher, Don Lake, John Michael Higgins, Nina Conti, Griffin Matthews, Kerry Godliman, and Chris Addison. The original This Is Spinal Tap from 1984 is widely considered one of the greatest mockumentary rock comedies ever, and has been referenced in countless other films since it premiered.
