It all went down on August 20, around 2 a.m., when Bailey allegedly left a baby strapped into a car seat right outside the University Terrace Apartments in Waco, Texas. And, here’s the kicker: she didn’t just leave the baby there and walk away. No, she had to let the child’s father know with a text that read, “Come and get your baby…[she] is at the door. Bye. Talk to you tomorrow.” Uh, what? If you thought that was cold, wait for it—she followed up with more texts daring the father to report her to Child Protective Services (CPS), writing, “IDC. Call CPS on me,” and “Get your kid, bro.” This woman really went there.
Furthermore, the father didn’t see the messages right away, leaving the baby unattended for almost 40 minutes, according to police. And, Bailey’s actions seemed to escalate as she continued to text the father, begging him to come open the door and retrieve the child. Waco police were called after the father found his little one left outside in a car seat—alone. When cops showed up, he apparently showed officers the texts from Bailey, and at approximately 3 a.m., officers confronted Bailey at her residence in Eagles Nest Drive.
Shortly after police arrived, Bailey was promptly arrested and transported to McLennan County Jail, where she was processed held on a $5,000 bond.
While authorities have not yet clarified her exact relationship to the child, the case is still under investigation. Additionally, authorities haven’t released all the details, including whether or not Bailey and the father were in a relationship.
