SHEIN dropped an official statement on its website, saying it’s about to increase its affordable prices. It looks like the girlies who usually run up a bag on the site before vacation might have to chill, especially with summer coming up! The brand confirmed the prices will change on Friday, April 25. Until then, though, the cost of items will stay the same.
In its statement, SHEIN gave a shoutout to its U.S. shoppers for holding them down and mentioned its plans to keep prices low so the increase doesn’t hit too hard. Additionally, the online retailer assured customers that orders will still carry on smoothly throughout this time.
“We’re doing everything we can to keep prices low and minimize the impact on you. Our team is working hard to improve your shopping experience and stay true to our mission: making fashion accessible for everyone,” SHEIN wrote.

SHEIN’s price shift follows President Donald Trump’s new tariff moves. Per USA Today, Trump is pushing changes that could impose up to a 245% tariff on certain imports from China, citing what he claims are China’ retaliatory actions. Trump has already imposed a series of new tariffs on Chinese goods this year, including a 125% tariff and a 20% tariff aimed at encouraging China to take action against fentanyl. On Tuesday, April 15, Trump stated that China must negotiate a deal to end the trade war.
“The ball is in China’s court. China needs to make a deal with us. We don’t have to make a deal with them,” Trump said in comments relayed by White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.
