An official trailer has arrived for a movie called The Protector, a gritty action thriller set in a dusty post-apocalyptic future very similar to Mad Max. This is the feature directorial debut of Raul Gasteazoro, who has been developing this project for years, made on a low budget shot on location with everyone putting their passion into making it. With the region's last source of freshwater buried under a Native American reservation and evil forces angling for control, a convict fighting for her own freedom becomes the unlikely protector of a young boy who may have the power to save it. Starring Marguerite Moreau as Key, a young woman who's the only one with a map to get to a source of water. But once she learns the truth about what's going on, she must fight for the future of the West. Also starring Graham Greene, Chris Redman, Mark Lane III, and Jade Tailor. And tons of extras and stunt people as well. Even if this is just another version of Mad Max (and Waterworld) it still looks entertaining enough to consider watching.
