Icarus Films has revealed the official trailer for a documentary film titled Everybody to Kenmure Street, one of the most engaging and deeply inspiring films of the year so far. This premiered at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival a few months ago, and I listed it as one of 10 best films at the festival. It's also screening this week at the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival before it opens soon in the UK first. It will eventually hit theaters in the US and I hope people will watch it. Set in the city of Glasgow, Scotland, it follows the true story of hat happens during an immigration raid. In May 2021, a U.K. Home Office dawn raid triggers one of the most spontaneous and successful acts of civil resistance in recent memory. In Scotland's most diverse neighborhood, hundreds of residents rush down to the streets to stop the deportation of their neighbors. This is the true story of Everybody to Kenmure Street. Aside from being a rousing story of community action successfully working, it's just an excellent doc film that showcases the power of great filmmaking to tell important stories.
