Barack Obama came for President Donald Trump and he didn’t spare him one bit! During a recent appearance, he called out everything Trump is doing in his second term and said if he had pulled any of these wild stunts, folks would’ve never let it slide.

For context, CNN reports that Barack Obama expressed these comments while speaking at Hamilton College on Thursday, April 3. While onstage, he dragged Donald Trump’s efforts, especially how he’s trying to flip the federal government and bully both the media and the legal system.
“Imagine if I had done any of this. It’s unimaginable that the same parties that are silent now would have tolerated behavior like that from me, or a whole bunch of my predecessors,” Barack Obama said.
But Obama made it clear—he wasn’t coming from a partisan angle. He said he cares about something deeper: “Who are we as a country? And what values do we stand for?” Barack didn’t stop there. He also called out the White House for what he sees as an infringement of rights.
“I’m more deeply concerned with a federal government that threatens universities if they don’t give up students who are exercising their right to free speech. The idea that a White House can say to law firms, if you represent parties that we don’t like, we’re going to pull all our business or bar you from representing people effectively. Those kinds of – that kind of behavior is contrary to the basic compact we have as Americans,” Barack told the crowd of college students.

Kamala Harris Speaks On Trump’s Presidency
Barack Obama wasn’t the only one to speak on Donald Trump’s second-term moves—Kamala Harris also shared her thoughts. While speaking at the Leading Women Defined Summit in California, she chimed in on his presidency.
In a video Pop Base shared on X (formerly Twitter), Harris made it clear folks already knew what time it was when Trump stepped back into the Oval Office. “There were many things we knew would happen. I’m not here to say I told you so,” she added while laughing. She also said she believes that his return has left some folks shaken.
“We are seeing organizations stay quiet. We are seeing those who are capitulating to clearly unconstitutional threats. And these are the things that we are witnessing, each day in the last few months in our country and it understandably creates a great sense of fear,” Harris continued.
