Whew! DDG is stepping up to clear his name and rep as a dad. The rapper took a moment to clap back at the folks who accused him of using his son Halo for clout. A video from his recent stream surfaced, showing him in his bonnet, warning folks about being played with!
In a clip LiveBitez shared, DDG argued that all parents love showing off their kids. He even brought up his mom and dad, saying they post all their kids on social media, which leads him to wonder why they don’t get canceled for it. But when he posts Halo, it’s an issue.
“All parents do the same s**t. If you look at my momma Instagram all her kids on there. Why y’all ain’t cancel her? If you look at my dad Instagram… all his kids. Why y’all don’t cancel my parents?,” he said.
The streamer didn’t stop there. He said people only come for him about posting his son so much because of his status.
“But when I do it, because I’m one of the most FAMOUS most lit, most richest Black creators in the ENTIRE world… it’s a problem when I do it though, right?” DDG added.
DDG’s response to the internet trolls comes right after he posted some cute moments with his mini-me on Snapchat and a live stream. The Shade Room grabbed a clip from his Snap, showing Halo pulling the funniest faces in the mirror. Then DDG showed off how good he’s walking on his own now.
Their quality time didn’t stop with the funny faces. During his livestream, DDG also caught Halo talking. When he asked him, “You just woke up?” Halo hit him with a smooth “Yeah.” DDG lost it, saying, “Yeah? He talking! What you mean, yeah?”
Even though his response surprised him, this wasn’t the first time the toddler was caught talking on camera. Back in February 2024, DDG joked that Halo’s first words were “On God” while he mocked him and tried to figure out what he was saying.
