According to E! News, on Tuesday, June 10, the most recent episode of ‘1000-Lb. Sisters’ aired on TLC. On the show, viewers watched as medical staff assisted Slaton with removing her surgical bandages. In a previous report from the outlet, Slaton shared her fears about the process in the show’s June 3rd episode.
“I’m so used to seeing all this hanging [from] my arms, and now when I wake up Sunday or Saturday, I’m not going to have this anymore. I’m going to look halfway normal from [the] face down. It’s scary but rewarding at the same time,” Slaton reportedly said in the previous episode, per the outlet.
After removing her bandages, Slaton reportedly reacted to her new look with just one word: “Boy…”
Furthermore, in a subsequent confessional in the episode, the ‘1000-Lb. Sisters’ star explained her “shock.”
“I’m shocked, like I feel so weird… I don’t have my hanging ballsack off my face. My bat wings are gone, too. And I look down, and there’s nothing there but my lap now,” she told the cameras. “It’s going to take a little while for me to get used to seeing myself like this.”

Per E! News, over the past four years, Slaton has shed over 500 pounds, prompting her eligibility and interest in the skin removal surgery. On Wednesday, June 11, Slaton posted more photos and clips of her transformation amid the process on TikTok. Per PEOPLE, Slaton underwent the process in January. Since then, she’s been active on social media. However, she only explicitly confirmed her surgery in the June 11 TikTok post.

Before Tammy Slaton’s skin removal surgery, her sister, Amy Slaton, made headlines last year. As The Shade Room previously reported, in September 2024, Amy Slaton was arrested at a Tennessee zoo. Slaton and a man named Brian Scott Lovvorn were visiting the zoo when authorities received reports about a camel biting a guest. It was unclear who was bitten amid the incident. However, Amy Slaton was ultimately charged with child endangerment and possession.
