Porsha Williams has secured a major court victory against Simon Guobadia. A judge reportedly upheld their prenuptial agreement after a lengthy legal battle. The court’s decision comes just days after Simon was released from an ICE detention center and reportedly deported back to Nigeria. Whew, let’s get into it…
Despite Simon’s ICE detention delaying the previous hearings, the judge ultimately sided with Porsha by upholding the prenup, according to Us Magazine. The exes reportedly appeared in court via video on Tuesday, June 11. While the ruling is a significant win for Porsha, it currently remains unclear what each of them will walk away with from this tumultuous marriage. To note, some reports have surfaced alleging Porsha will receive $40,000 a month in alimony from Guobadia.
During their court battle, Simon reportedly tried to come for Porsha, claiming she played him by not disclosing her return to ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ during their prenup talks. He reportedly argued that her reality TV comeback meant he’d be stuck with a hefty financial hit if they split. This included dividing the equity of his multi-million-dollar pre-marital home.
But Porsha clapped back, saying the prenup was negotiated over months, and she only returned to reality TV because Simon couldn’t keep up with his financial promises.
The Roomies were shook for Simon after being hit with more bad news in a matter of days. The comments under TSR’s post indicated that social media was somewhat torn on the situation. Peep some of their responses below…

Just days before Porsha’s courtroom victory, it was reported that Simon was released from an ICE detention center and sent packing to Nigeria.
According to his friend, Tai Savet, he exclusively spilled to Us that the 61-year-old was flown back to his native country after spending four months in jail. His arrest came in February, when Simon got caught up in Trump’s immigration crackdown.
Despite the unfortunate circumstances, however, Savet says Simon is remaining in “good spirits” and isn’t mad at the President for tightening down on immigration laws.
Roomies, Simon’s been in the U.S. on and off since 1982. But he allegedly overstayed his visa twice between ’82 and ’92. Then, he reportedly used an “undisclosed identity” to obtain permanent residency in 1992, per WSBTV, which has been a thorn in his side ever since.
It had blocked his multiple attempts at citizenship over the years. Now, with Simon back in Nigeria and Porsha holding that prenup win, it’s looking like she’s coming out on top in this saga.
