"No one said it will be easy." Two more official trailers have debtued for
Return to Silent Hill, the long-awaited follow-up sequel from filmmaker
Christophe Gans. They're ramping up marketing since this hits theaters in early 2026. Horror fans know the original
Silent Hill movie from 2006, which Gans directed, even though it flopped at the box office it became a cult fave. While there have been attempts to do another take on Silent Hill, Gans finally came back to make the sequel - ready to hit theaters 20 years later. When James receives a mysterious letter from his lost love Mary, he's drawn to Silent Hill, a once-familiar town consumed by darkness. He encounters terrifying figures of all kinds, and begins to question his own sanity. Starring
Jeremy Irvine as James Sunderland,
Hannah Emily Anderson,
Evie Templeton,
Pearse Egan,
Eve Macklin, and
Emily Carding. I can say for certain after these trailers - this absolutely looks like a video game movie. A bit too much like a video game but also seems they're embracing that aspect of it. //
