"I couldn't live without movies." Roadside Attractions has unveiled a powerful first look teaser trailer for Kiss of the Spider Woman, the big new musical starring Jennifer Lopez. This premiered to rapturous praise and great reviews at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival earlier this year (here's my review). Featuring one of the best lead performances I've seen in any film so far this year - from newcomer Tonatiuh as Luis Molina. Set in Argentina during a period of political unrest. Valentín, a political prisoner, shares a cell with Molina, who is convicted for indecency. An unlikely bond forms as Molina recounts his favorite Hollywood musical plot starring Ingrid Luna, played by Jennifer Lopez. Based on the Broadway musical of the same name, which is also adapted from the acclaimed 1976 novel Kiss of the Spider Woman by Argentinian writer Manuel Puig. Diego Luna co-stars as Valentín / Armando, with a magnificent cast featuring Tonatiuh, Jennifer Lopez, Bruno Bichir, Josefina Scaglione, Aline Mayagoitia. I'm a huge fan of this!
