Earlier this month, Tory Lanez was brutally attacked, stabbed 14 times while serving his prison sentence in California. Afterward, his legal team came forward, alleging new evidence proves his innocence in the Megan Thee Stallion shooting case. But are Tory Lanez’s claims credible? Or does Megan’s team feel like this is all just a PR ploy? Now, Megan Thee Stallion’s lawyers are stepping into The Shade Room to sit down with Justin Carter on ‘TSR Investigates.’
According to Carter, Bradley James, a former bodyguard, has come forward, alleging he heard Kelsey Harris admit to shooting Megan Thee Stallion in the summer of 2020. However, Marie Hayrapetian, one of Megan’s lawyers, isn’t buying the claim. Additionally, she expressed frustration with Lanez’s continued efforts to appeal his guilty verdict.
“Despite court orders, restraining orders, Tory continues to orchestrate systematic harassment campaigns through surrogates and social media personalities. Every few months, we hear new fabricated narratives emerge that force Megan to repeatedly relive her trauma and defend her credibility. And she should not have to do so as a victim of violent abuse,” Hayrapetian told Carter.
Per Carter, Megan’s legal team released a 31-page report, arguing why they believe Lanez’s account isn’t credible.
“We’re hearing news of Ring camera footage, [but] Ring footage was already a trial exhibit. There was audio of five consecutive gunshots that were presented and admitted, and the jury considered in rendering the verdict,” Janet Shamilian said. “There’s no other Ring footage, and in theory, if there was something that would exonerate Mr. Peterson, it would be disseminated publicly and widely, and it’s not.”
According to Hayrapetian, she and her team want the public to “understand that there is no new evidence” in Lanez’s case.
“There never was,” she told Carter.
